Chinese philosophy: The only thing that no change is changed. Why I come out this at starting line in the post? When I look at the old pictures, it remind me how was the good old days in PFSC especially on the members.
Quah (Wearing the blue singlet) - inactive now. used to be first paddlers and good in running. Now probably focus more on business and new members in his family
Khoo (cheer in tomato) - still in physical training but can't commit in race as he is tied the knot with girl that we never see before....:-p congratulation
Satay (Front, shirt in yellow + red) - From boyfriend quickly upgraded to Husband 2.0 and now Father 3.0....congrat :-)
Sunny Kok (half face at the side) - inactive. Not sure what is the reason that he quit and now focus on bicycle. Hope he active again in DB as he is strong paddler.
William Ung (shirtless) - Shoulder Injured at the moment, promise to join back when ready.
Ho (White shirt behind William) - change his job hat and now police inspector who based in KL.
Kiefer (Last in the row) - inactive. quite new in the team and can't sustain. welcome to join again :-)
More member: Shinji, Ang, Michael, Apple, Tan, OJ.
We seldom do physical training at rowing site. I think this is the time we go for run before go down to water, else we would wear sandals rather than sport shoe.
cleaning dragon boat after physical training. We wash like a team.....haha. (a few wash, some stand, many talk and 1 taking photo :-p)
after that, makan time. White Fungus soup and double chocolate cake....it is pretty awesome that Mei Ling prepare that food. You don't get to eat something like this over physical training.
This is the best one - the Fruit Jelly. Fruits more than jelly, can't eat it any where else. Only in PFSC by Chung Mei Ling. it is one of her signature dessert. Can you tell how many type of fruits are there?
Another Chung Mei Ling delicacy. Sour Plum tomato for chilling effect. Recipe from Chinese pharmacist. Stuff 1 sour plum in heart of tomato and store in freeze for good 4th days and you get the best balance of sweet and sour taste.
We miss the old members and also we stay for the food....nah! we love the food as bonus. Most important, we stay for the team.

the Char Siou also one of the can’t resist dish especially the part where burn until black black one…..that very good.
The Drink here also very tasty.
Clean and Clear, then ordered another quarter duck meat. The real recipe is the sauce. the sauce make the duck meat taste great
Look at the people waiting to place orders. Our second order of quarter duck meat also took a while to serve
Inside kopitiam, the table is full. Penang really place with a lots of food that must try.
After the lunch, go home apply the pig philosophy. Live life to the fullest…..wahahaha!
Chinese New Year Dinner at PCTH 2009
Posted On Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at at Wednesday, February 25, 2009 by daddy
The other day, during Chinese New Year where people still in Holiday mood, not much training are going on. We was invited by Penang Chinese Town Hall (PCTH) to their Chinese New Year Celebration Dinner on 6th February. Choo Hooi reserved 2 tables for PFSC.
I off work late, directly go to PCTH from office. I met Kok Wan at entrance, he said didn't see anyone yet. I told him, there already inside. We was warm welcome by the lion dance.
Without further ado, first dish served:
lou san only as no salmon in it. (save cost save cost)
after. Lou dei fung shan shui hei.
cold plate normally is the first dish for most of the dinner. But people lou san during Chinese New Year. To be specific, it on 7th day of Chinese New year if not mistaken.
then only opening by hitting gong.....tong~~~!!!!tong~~~~! tong!!!!~~~
artificial shark fin soup. don't expect it real shark fin and also no good to eat real shark fin.
served by team manager, our honour!
then kentucky fried chicken with some keropok!
pork + vege!
sweet sour and spicy fish. in short sar bee hu (3 taste fish)
still hungry? then carbo (mee) will be the last dishes for the night. better eat if you still hungry.
Beer + Lychee = dessert?
Kena a few round of bottom up of beer, I try to fill my glass with the lychee, jelly to avoid they pour the beer. but end up, I have a beer dessert.....wtf!!
Normally, (PFSC culture) we'll continue second round after dinner but don't know why that night we didn't continue second round. May be too tired after working or may be no kaki and we save it for tomorrow (another date). My ex-colleague are asking to clubbing at MOIS next day because she got friend come back from UK, they want to find out how is the club and people in Penang. So, we keep it for tomorrow but some are going to karaoke.
