Another round of Celebration Dinner in Penang

It been long waited dinner after coming back from Thailand. This is informal dinner celebration for winning 3rd Runner up and 70,000 baht at Thailand International Swan Boat Race 2008. We marked the calendar
Date: 11 October 2008
Time 7.30pm, meal served at 8.30pm
Venue: Chong Hwa Chinese Restaurant, Cititel
Before the dinner, we still carry on our regular training at Macallum Street. The turn up rate was not so good because of want to attend dinner tonight or all the time also like that. It only getting better when the competition is near.
anyway, people start to filled up the table from 7.30pm onward.
We have special sneak preview show tonight on our trip to Thailand like

and so on to be play during the dinner. We got our own USB Broadband modem, HP 2133 laptop, photo source from many camera but Conor forget to bring the projector and screen to publish on the stage. However, we'll do it again on our Annual Dinner on January 2009.

We only have 7 and half tables reserved. On 7 and half table of people, we have more than 20 bottols of liquor.
5 cartons of SKOL beer
12 bottles of XO liquor
3 bottles of Black Label
5 bottles of Passport Scotch
and 1 bottles of Bacardi Apple
Before the dinner start, the liquor start to mixed and distribute to each table. It like water or tea that serve during meal. =D
then 1st dish served. we called it cold plate which have sweet and sour pork, chilly mantis prawn, octopus and sushi type meat
Follow by Sharkfin soup on 2nd Dish.
We have extra sharkfin brought by Hun

continue with Roasted Chicken on 3rd Dish
and 4th Dish at Steamed Fish.
Before i manage to snap the complete fish when served. It already gone half.
Before the 5th Dishes served which is Sweet Prawn, Choo Hooi start to give speech
As this is celebration dinner but the environment is like che mei (funeral thingy)
look at the table. All are so gentle. This is not our style.
Junior members just eat.

Training day at 8.00am, he arrive at site at 7.00am even not training day, he also will go to check the boat and asking Choo Hooi, why the boat got so many scatches. This passion, we all really appreciated.

During the 6th dishes come, Pork. Choo Hooi announced birthday of one of the rowers - Angmotan (OJ Tan)
This is must watch video. After singing the birthday song, blowing of candle and face on cake. the situation is getting hot and high not like che mei anymore.

the 7th Dishes is mee. if you still not full, you bette eat more as the 8th Dishes is Dessert, Lychee Tong Sui.
At this point, I don't know how to blog anymore as most of the people already start to act weird. hehe...what i mean is alcohol effect, they just talk everything, who care!!! It was so happy and fun. We didn't end the celebration here. We continue to Soi 11

Some of them leaving after staying for a while at Soi 11 (guess they're not having fun or go back for some others activities. Mostly go back earliar is couples...=D)
Those who still enjoying themself continue to have fun at Soi 11. While I move around to look for friends. I meet Ryan at Soi 11. After some time, I joined Michael go to SS.
here are really fun. the live band was so great. They play Hand in the Ayer
encounter 2 hot dancers upstair shake very hard.
After the Live band end, the DJ mix very nice song like Rihanna - Disturbia and Flo - Low Rider.
DJ mixed the Hand in the Ayer and the 2 hot dancers upstair shake real hard again.
While I club hopping back to Soi 11, I met Ah Kee (pretty girl) outside SS. Met with Ryan who playing Superman, Ultraman and Wong Fei Hung with his friends. I lost a few round and have to drink the long island tea (High % in alcohol). After that we go to Fame
A new club (previously is a club named Glo), not as fun as SS.
Lastly I club hopping to MOIS
The song played by DJ before the club close at 3pm.

The people after clubbing. I think quite tired for not sleep then drink, smoke and dance whole night
the drunk cat. Apa macam pun ada. People vomit everywhere. that too ugly...!!!

Wake up at around 9am Thai Time and going for breakfast at 10am where the breakfast already closed. However, still allow to eat before we're transferred to Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Arrived the Airport around 11.30am, check in air-asia flight and take a group photo with the tour guide who has been follow us during our visit.
Our Flight is 2.05pm, so it still have plenty of time to shop around the duty free shop. I brought a swatch watch at 2170 baht where in Malaysia only sell for RM230 which the duty charge by the goverment for watch not really high.
However, it cheap to get alcohol at duty free shop. I brought 1 liter of DOM at Duty Free Shop in Penang Airport for only RM99 where i checked in Jusco Queensbay Mall sell for RM102 for 750ml.
Some of them having lunch at Burger King before we return back to Penang.
Arriving Penang Safely at 4.17pm. it tired but when you recall back:
it really fun and enjoyable trip. Somemore we won cash money 70000 baht on the race!
If next year, we going to take part, I'll join again....hehe :-)
Tour to DreamWorld Thailand after the Race

The special part of Bangkok Swan Boat Race is the organiser will host the post tour after the race.
In year 2005, the post tour is travelling to the floating market, the sculpture centre and coconut art factory. 2006, the Swan Boat Race was cancelled due to flood. Last Year 2007, we went to Grand Palace of Bangkok and having lunch at River Restaurant.
This year 2008, we go to the DreamWorld follow by Temple Visit at Ayutthaya then dinner somewhere else.
DreamWorld, here i come
It another type of theme park like Disney Land or Ocean Park.

The first thing we arrive here is go to rest room
then the first theme garden we go is Love Garden. As the Garden is called Love Garden. It meant for the love bird to hanging around here. it got many nicely create garden for the couple to take photo. We all "ma lat lou" (guys) visit this garden it a bit weird.... =p
Then we move on to miniature World Wonder
it have Golden Mountain.
The Golden Mountain located at Wat Saket, was built in the early Rattanakosin Period. During the reign of King RAMA V, India presented a portion of Buddha's relic to Thailand. It was kept in a Chedi on top of the Golden Mountain. (It's not a World's Wonder)
The Great Wall of China built by Emperor Qin (Ch'in) in 243 B.C to protect Northern China from the Mongols.
Taj Mahal located at AGRA, India was built by Emperor Shah Jahan. It's name derives from the title Mumtaz Mahal, His favorite wife
The Great Pyramid located at Giza, Egypt. Khufu's Pyramid or "City of Death" was the largest Pyramid ever made. It was ranked as one of the greatest man made wonders of the world.
The leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy. The bell tower of Pisa was built in 1173 A.D. During construction uneven settling of the ground caused the building to lean toward the South. Galileo made his experiments in Physics with falling objects from the top of the tower.
The Statue of Liberty in New York, USA, A gigantic Statue on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, was a Gift of the French people to the United States in commemoration of a centennial of American Independence. (It's not a World's Wonder)
Stonehenge, The ruins of the stone monument is situated on Salsbury Plains in Southern England. It was built by the Briton, A Celtic people, for religious and astronomical function
The Colossium located at Rome, Italy. The Colossium was built by the Emperors Vespasian and Titus. It was place for games and exhibition of rare, wild beasts. It was opened to public in 79 A.D.
The Eiffel Tower is an iron tower built on the Champ de Mars beside the Seine River in Paris. The Tower has become a global icon of France and is one of the most recognizable structures in the World.
The Angkor Wat at Cambodia. The Vishnu Temple of Angkor Wat was constructed by King Suriyavarman II (Reigned 1113 - 1150 A.D.) It was the Center of the Khmer Empire.
In half and hour time, you tour around the World Wonder in DreamWorld. We proceed to Giant House.

We continue the tour at DreamWorld and don't know what happening i was follow the rest take a seat at the machine called Hurricane.
this machine is killing and fxxking sh*t!
Feel un-easy after playing this game. Follow the route in DreamWorld, they have Rapter - The Human Washing Machine.

don't dare to go up any of this game as i still not yet recover from the early game on Hurricane, the name speak it all.
The weather is hot outside. So, we go to Snow House. It actually an Ice Room with temperature at -4 degree. Feel cold at first entry, however after some time, you just can't hold it. Hands and ears are getting pain. Quickly play the snow slide then come out and continue to lunch. Snow House is the place where most of us get sick after come back from Bangkok. syiksss!!!
after the lunch and getting better, We continue to play the Space Mountain,
the bump car,
and the roller coaster. This one quite nice, it just swing you from left to right, right to left. Not those up and down which about height.
While for wet game, DreamWorld got the splash (not playing)
and the water drafting. Look interesting! Me and ah Kam go to buy the rain coat (just a plastic) at 30 Baht to try out this game out. not much excitement, it just make you wet and luckily, we have rain coat. :-) (30 baht server it purpose)
After that we check out the Go Cart (at separate cost, not included in the entrance) which is not fast enough to play. then we check out the Human washing machine again as some of the gorgeous Taiwan tourist girls is playing that....hehe!!
In the DreamWorld, it have many stall or counter for fun fair as well as body painting. Hock Lye won a soft toy at one of the counter. It also time to leave for Temple Visit at 2.30pm. The time only enough for taking some photo around the DreamWorld
We didn't continue the post tour to Temple Visit and the dinner as it going to use up our time to spend in Bangkok. So, we went back Hotel wash up then going to "The Fifth" in MBK (Shopping Mall) having tea break. It so easily get hungry during travel.
I ordered the Fish Don.
After the meal, We continue shopping at MBK, I windows shop. We schedule to meet up at KFC, MBK at 6.30pm. So, everyone can shop on their own without waiting each others. After Shopping, we go to massage for final round before going back to Malaysia.
So, we going to Rachadapeech for massage. Hock Lye, Hai Kau bring the student to traditional Massage center. While some others go to "Subway", "VIP" and "Nataree". I go to one of the traditional Massage center called "Lemon Grass"
The whole street rate for 2 hour massage is at 400 - 450 baht. While this Lemon Grass charge for 700 baht for 2 hours. It kind of expensive. The manager request me to check out the place before deciding to massage. The place is different from where i massage in first 2 day. It SPA like environment, cozy, dimmed light, aroma sense and soft music.
Finally, I massage here at price 550 baht. The massaur is professional and i pay 150 baht as tips.
Feel great after massage and tonight is last night in Bangkok, we're not going back to Hotel and sleep. After refreshing at Hotel, we went to a disco called SNOP Bangkok.
It is a Thai Disco with Live Band. The lighning in SNOP is fantastic. Check out the video:
Michael bring his Bangkok friends to the party who he just met during the shopping in MBK. He is really good with his mouth. (I mean Thai Language) =รพ
Anyway, Apple is having fun!
Again, the Disco close at 2pm. We not feel like going back. So, we continue to Hollywood Disco at Soi 6 (near by) We met some friends here. After finish whole bottle of Black Label, I went back to sleep at around 4.00am. While Apple, Hean, Joseph Chow and so on continue to Spoon Bar and Restaurant until the next day morning 6-7am.
