Concept2 Indoor Rowing and Les Mills Body Pump

Indoor rowing and body pump session

Date: 18 August 2010

Time: Night

Venue: Fitness Studio, Gurney Tower

This session, we started with indoor rowing using concept 2 rower and follow by Les Mills Body Pump program. Dragon boat paddlers training is madness, isn't it? To many people, it is tough to continue weight training after indoor rowing. You almost use all your energy in rowing. How to continue the body pump session?

If you ever attended Les Mills body pump session before, you know you try to keep up with the countless repetition on each exercise. You stop half way even join the class with fresh energy. How to keep up with the instructor after 3 sets of indoor rowing?

Besides good fitness level is required, you probably need a good mental in training as well. Fitness Level can be improve by exercise, the exercise that you keep on doing, enjoy doing it for a period of time. Then, you can start to feel the different, the changing in your body, the next level of your fitness level.

However, mental training is not easy to train. How to train your mental?

each paddlers will row 3 sets in concept2 indoor rower.

How fast you can complete 500m distance? It required many input to achieve good time. want to know more, contact us :-)

sometime, people who join the class with cursed the instructor because of the countless repetition.....have you had this thought before?

Back to question earlier: How do you train your mental? there are many answer, my answer would be train in a group. When you train in the group, people with good fitness level inspired you, people that tried catching up pushing you to stay a little longer before give up. With competition in a group, you keep going and going to fight against and also together with each other. You'll soon find out you can keep up with the team in no time.

We do have sweet time after tough training. Just provide your name and birth date, we make sure you hate and love this club.... :-p

Apple's Birthday at Sungai Ara

Apple celebrate his 29 or 30 years old (not sure) birthday at Ah Tan House. It was early celebration because Ah Tan travelling to USA during the week of his actual Birthday. His actual birthday fall on Halloween night, you know the date?

I was the one who arrange for the food (partly) on his birthday. This caterer - Ani was introduced by Su Ching (widely promoting) because they can cooked a nice and delicious malay food. Whenever there are Dato Kong praying at WorldFish, Su Ching definately will call for her. I went to meet up with Ani at Thang Siang temple on Friday to order the food and collect to food on Saturday at Sekolah Menengah Sungai Ara

We ordered Nasi Tomato - RM30

Ayam Masak Merah - RM 60 (1 piece RM3, kind of expensive)

Cucuk Badak and Karipap - RM12 (Rm0.40 each)

Cucuk Udang - RM 15

Archa (Vege) - RM 15 and Kurma Kambing - RM10 (not manage to take the photo)

While Luke incharge to order some others food like fried fish

Satay at RM0.70 per stick

and others food like curry fish, watermelon, jambu rojak, bangkuang rojak and bla bla bla, can't recall....

But, I remember got wine, Finlandia Mango Volka

We don't dare to do what had done on OJ's birthday last Saturday. As this Choco cake from Secret Recipe. look good and taste good.

Something happen between Hock Lye and Teong Ming on that night. I was sitting at Sofa and Hock Lye sitting next to me and Teong ming was sitting on floor and watch the football match, Liverpool vs ___________ and Chelsea vs __________. Then suddenly, Hock Lye slap Teong Ming's head....!

Teong Ming: "if want to gao kun (play), don't play on head"

(Hock Lye is not listening and I was try to say something to stop the incident but it happen too fast)

Hock Lye use the cushion and slap Teong Ming's head again. This is not "gao kun" anymore as Teong Ming was seriously warm he not to play on head.

Teong Ming walk over to the side and trying to slap back Hock Lye's head. Teong Ming missed because hock Lye avoid it and hit on the cake. The cake was slapped on floor.

Hock Lye start to get angry and hot and start to slap back Teong Ming harder on his head. This is over and people like Apple, Gavin, Quah, Kok Teik and most of them trying to separate and stop them from the fight.

They both staring on each others in eyes (like fall in love ar ne) and hock lye keep on "kan-ing" (scold) Teong Ming. We all try to calm them down and stop them. It no good for us to have such an issue in the boat.

dam....it spoil the mood and the environment!!!

Anyway, the birthday party carry on. do not bother about them....blek :-p

Playing Game. Chor Dai Dee. Those who lose, have to drink the Volka. If you have 10 cards on hand, then have to bottom up the drink. it excited when you have to drink....a few round im with 10 cards or more on hand.

Before I leave around 12am, Ah Tan start second round of food.

After I left not long, Ah Tan "lok chap fong kau" (lock the door and release the dog). A Hun (the dog) quickly sit in front of the door and woof woof, not allow anyone approaching the door.

Michael want to go home, they don't want to let him go back.

Michael: "Fuck la, give me the key!"

Ah Hun take off his pant and showing his back side: "Ok you come to fuck."

Ah Hun with his pant down: "you either fuck me or you just drink."

As Michael not going to fuck him, then he have to drink.

The shake something weird and un-usual. mixed bacardi with beer, juice, soda, sprite, fruit and so on and drink. I don't know who is the victim but they just finish all the beer and liquors.

The party end around 2am + and they call me.....you know, those morning call type and lots of people laugh at background......KNS.....all drunk cat. I just wondering how they going to go training the next day morning....!!!

Another round of Celebration Dinner in Penang

It been long waited dinner after coming back from Thailand. This is informal dinner celebration for winning 3rd Runner up and 70,000 baht at Thailand International Swan Boat Race 2008. We marked the calendar

Date: 11 October 2008

Time 7.30pm, meal served at 8.30pm

Venue: Chong Hwa Chinese Restaurant, Cititel

Before the dinner, we still carry on our regular training at Macallum Street. The turn up rate was not so good because of want to attend dinner tonight or all the time also like that. It only getting better when the competition is near.

anyway, people start to filled up the table from 7.30pm onward.

and so on to be play during the dinner. We got our own USB Broadband modem, HP 2133 laptop, photo source from many camera but Conor forget to bring the projector and screen to publish on the stage. However, we'll do it again on our Annual Dinner on January 2009.

We only have 7 and half tables reserved. On 7 and half table of people, we have more than 20 bottols of liquor.

5 cartons of SKOL beer

and 1 bottles of Bacardi Apple

Before the dinner start, the liquor start to mixed and distribute to each table. It like water or tea that serve during meal. =D

then 1st dish served. we called it cold plate which have sweet and sour pork, chilly mantis prawn, octopus and sushi type meat

Follow by Sharkfin soup on 2nd Dish.

We have extra sharkfin brought by Hun

continue with Roasted Chicken on 3rd Dish

and 4th Dish at Steamed Fish.

Before i manage to snap the complete fish when served. It already gone half.

Before the 5th Dishes served which is Sweet Prawn, Choo Hooi start to give speech

As this is celebration dinner but the environment is like che mei (funeral thingy)

look at the table. All are so gentle. This is not our style.

Training day at 8.00am, he arrive at site at 7.00am even not training day, he also will go to check the boat and asking Choo Hooi, why the boat got so many scatches. This passion, we all really appreciated.

At this point, I don't know how to blog anymore as most of the people already start to act weird. hehe...what i mean is alcohol effect, they just talk everything, who care!!! It was so happy and fun. We didn't end the celebration here. We continue to Soi 11

Some of them leaving after staying for a while at Soi 11 (guess they're not having fun or go back for some others activities. Mostly go back earliar is couples...=D)

Those who still enjoying themself continue to have fun at Soi 11. While I move around to look for friends. I meet Ryan at Soi 11. After some time, I joined Michael go to SS.

here are really fun. the live band was so great. They play Hand in the Ayer

encounter 2 hot dancers upstair shake very hard.

After the Live band end, the DJ mix very nice song like Rihanna - Disturbia and Flo - Low Rider.

DJ mixed the Hand in the Ayer and the 2 hot dancers upstair shake real hard again.

While I club hopping back to Soi 11, I met Ah Kee (pretty girl) outside SS. Met with Ryan who playing Superman, Ultraman and Wong Fei Hung with his friends. I lost a few round and have to drink the long island tea (High % in alcohol). After that we go to Fame
